“The Twelve Tribes Which are Scattered Abroad”
This little paper is dedicated for the conveyance of news items and reformatory activities to Present Truth believers; to answer questions in connection with the sealing message of the 144,000 (Rev. 7:1-8) and the great multitude (Rev. 7:9); on the prophecies of Isaiah, Zechariah, Zephaniah, Micah, Hosea, Joel, Daniel, the Revelation, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, etc., but more fully on the first eight books above mentioned; on Christ’s parables, on types and symbols, and also on the writings of Mrs. E.G. White.
However, this quarterly visitor promises to answer questions on such passages of the Scriptures only as have been divinely revealed and authoritatively proclaimed — bearing the positive mark of truth. Therefore, it will either give a correct answer to questions or else confess its ignorance by saying “I do not know.”
Its main object is to reveal the fact that the time has come for the Lord to manifest His power and unify, and purify the church of God — calling her to rise up from her dusty bed and put on her strength and her gift of beautiful garments, because “from henceforth” the unclean shall not come unto her. (Isa. 52:1.) Therefore, it positively demands that the messengers of “the great and dreadful day of the Lord,” under its supervision, must strictly comply with all its requirements, instructions and advice which it bears to them from time to time. It will not countenance those who ignore its divine authority — the church is to be a light to the whole world — fair as the moon, — clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners. Isa. 62:1-7; Prophets and Kings, p. 725.
The symbols on the title page are a reproduction of the Revelation, chapters Twelve and Nine, and Isaiah 7:21, which symbols are explained in our available literature.
This quarterly comforter gladly calls on all S.D.A.’s who open their emails or their doors andwelcome its visit. Thought for Meditation
TN2: 67.1: Study the message for yourselves, and forbid that any flesh interfere with your salvation. Make your own decision independently of any man, and know for yourself that God is leading you as He did when you were to become a S.D.A. Accept neither priest nor prelate as your God. “Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.” Ps.32:9. Why should you trip and fall over the same stumbling block which has plunged millions headlong into hell? Look up, Brother, Sister, and avoid the calamity ahead, and help others also to avoid it.
Let us begin with the following statement from The Great Controversy:
GC 399.4: In like manner, the types which relate to the second advent must be fulfilled at the time pointed out in the symbolic service. Under the Mosaic system, the cleansing of the sanctuary, or the great day of Atonement, occurred on the tenth day of the seventh Jewish Month, [Leviticus 16:29-34.] when the high priest, having made an atonement for all Israel, and thus removed their sins from the sanctuary, came forth and blessed the people. So it was believed that Christ, our great High Priest, would appear to purify the earth by the destruction of sin and sinners, and to bless his waiting people with immortality. The tenth day of the seventh Month, the great day of Atonement, the time of the cleansing of the sanctuary, which in the year 1844 fell upon the twenty-second of October, was regarded as the time of the Lord’s coming. This was in harmony with the proofs already presented that the 2300 days would terminate in the autumn, and the conclusion seemed irresistible.
Note carefully that the “The types which relate to the Second Advent must be fulfilled at the time pointed out in the symbolic service.” The Times pointed out in the symbolic services are based on the days and months of Creation’s Calendar and not the Gregorian. The first event relating to Christ’s coming was His coming to the Holy of Holies in the heavenly sanctuary to begin humanity’s judgment, which started with the dead and will end with the living. The tenth day of the seventh Month, the Day of Atonement in the symbolic service, fell on the twenty-second day of October in 1844, the day Christ entered the holiest apartment of the Heavenly Sanctuary.
Let us hear the Rod in the prophetic art of “The Sacred Year And Its Main Feasts” chart as to when the Lord will come for the judgment of the living:

ofin like fashion the sacred feasts of one season match the sacred feasts of another season: the tenth day of the first Month, the separation of the unblemished lamb from the flock (Ex. 12:3), corresponding to the tenth day of the seventh Month, the work of Atonement, the separation of the righteous from the unrighteous, signifying in both events a day of judgment, a day of separating the holy from the unholy; …
Note in this chart that the related events are directly opposite each other and exactly six months apart:
In like manner, the sacred feast of the tenth day of the seventh Month corresponds to the sacred feast of the tenth day of the first Month — both being a day of judgment — both instances are the Lord’s coming for judgment. Since the Lord’s coming in 1844 was for the dead, then correspondingly His next coming on the tenth day of the first Month must be for the living, as the Rod says in the following statements:
“As the cleansings called for in the parables and in Malachi’s prophecy have never taken place, the investigative judgment of the living is obviously, then, yet future. This investigative work is therefore occasioned by the work of separation in the earthly sanctuary (church), as brought to view also in Ezekiel 9:” {TN3: 43.3} [218]
“The angels who are round about the throne in the heavenly sanctuary during the judgment of Daniel 7:9, 10 and of Revelation 5:11 shall, as the parables explain, descend with “the Son of man” when He comes “to His temple” (His church) to separate by judgment “the wicked from among the just,” and to purge as gold and silver those “who may abide the day of His coming…that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Mal. 3:2, 3”. {TN3: 46.2} [218]
“In graphic demonstration that He will come to earth with all His angels to execute judgment upon the living, the Lord revealed Himself prophetically to Ezekiel as being brought enthroned to earth by four living creatures just before the slaughter of the hypocrites in the church takes place. And as each of the living creatures has the face of a lion, the face of a calf, the face of a man, and the face of an eagle (Ezek. 1:10), — the same judicial insignia as have the beasts who are before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary (Rev. 4:7) in the time of the judgment of the dead, — and as they descend to earth, they thereby symbolically show that the work of the mediatorial-judicial throne which convenes and presides over the judgment of the dead is extended to earth”. {TN3: 46.3} [218]
“This extension, so far as we are able to know now, must take place at the opening of the seventh

ofseal (Rev. 8:1), for at that time the celestial voices, which opened the judgment of the dead, cease in the heavenly sanctuary and begin, after the half hour’s silence, to sound on earth. In other words, just as in heaven at the opening of the judgment of the dead, there were “lightnings and thunderings and voices” (Rev. 4:5), likewise on earth at the opening of the “judgment of the living,” there are “voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.” Rev. 8:5.” {TN3: 47.1} [218]
“With the judgment of the dead, however, the work of separation takes place in the books in the heavenly sanctuary; whereas with the judgment of the living, the separation takes place among the people in the church as well as among their names in the books in the heavenly sanctuary, thus showing that both sanctuaries will finally be cleansed”. {TN3: 47.2} [218]
“Inescapably, therefore, the Lord’s coming to His temple (Mal. 3:1-3), His coming with all His angels (Matt. 25), and His coming enthroned above the living creatures (Ezek. 1), — all three representing the same event as has been shown, — take place at the beginning of the judgment of the living: the time in which the judicial activities of the heavenly sanctuary extend to the earthly sanctuary — the church”. {TN3: 47.3} [218]
NOW, THEREFORE in consideration of the foregone statements, we must all hereby agree that the day of Christ’s coming to begin the judgment of the living in the earthly sanctuary is the tenth day of the first Month, very soon to take place in this twenty-first century of the Gregorian calendar, 20__, as the signs of the times foretell. We are nearing home beloved, let us get ready. But you may say: what about Matthew 25, verse 13: “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” The response is: we must understand this verse to be referring to the date, which would require the year and not the day as pointed out in the Mosaic system.
Now that we know on which day, even though we know not the date, on which Christ comes to the earthly sanctuary, let us hasten the opening of the Seventh Seal and get ready, for the Bridegroom cometh. Soon and very soon, my dearly beloved brothers and sisters, the cry will be made: “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.” Will you be ready? To be ready, you must first

The question that comes to mind is: where or what is Davidia? The first place we go is to the message; where does it talk about Davidia? Surprisingly, the name Davidia does not appear in the Rod message, so where or from whom did we get it? The name first appeared in the 1961 Symbolic Code published by the 100% Rod-only believers, the editor being the one and only M. J. Bingham. He designed the cover of the Symbolic Code with a message to his Jesuit associates; I guess to inform them of their representation, or should I say infiltration. Let us examine the cover:
Upon examining the cover of the 1961 Symbolic Code designed by M. J. Bingham, you will notice the eucharist in the center surrounded by the amalgamation of the covers of the 1954 and 1936 Symbolic Codes. The Bashan organization teaches that their organization started at this Session and uses this Symbolic Code as proof, you be the judge.
If you go to page thirty-five of the 1961 Symbolic Code, I suggest you do, and a copy is available on our website; you will find a letter from M. J. Bingham to a Brother who was questioning the content of the Timely Truth Educator, later to be the prophetic organ of Bashan hill. On page thirty-nine is where the name Davidia appears for the very first time in any Symbolic Code:

ofNow you know who gave the Davidian movement this cherished name, “Davidia.”
O, Davidia! Davidia! You are bewitched, rejecting the title “Eleventh-hour Church,” given to us by the Lord in the parable of Matthew Twenty and the White House Recruiter on page thirty-three, but cherishing the name Davidia. Inspiration warned us of this Jesuit infiltration:
“In the days of the reformers, in order to keep the multitude in darkness he put his clamps on them, then opened wide his extinguisher against the burning light, and when it failed him, he set “sleeping preachers preaching to a sleeping people.’ Testimonies, Vol. 2, p. 337”. {7SC7-12: 8.2.6} [490]
“This highly successful course he has unremittingly pursued ever since, until as a result the church today is almost choked with tares. It is, as it were, infiltrated with a fifth-column”. {7SC7-12: 8.2.7} [490]
“That night I dreamed,” says the servant of the Lord in a remarkable view of this very condition,. “that I was in Battle Creek looking out from the side glass at the door, and saw a company marching up to the
house, two and two. They looked stern and determined. I knew them well, and turned to open the parlor door to receive them, but thought I would look again. The scene was changed. The company now presented the appearance of a Catholic procession. One bore in his hand a cross, another a reed. And as they approached, the one carrying a reed made a circle around the house, saying three times, ‘This house is proscribed. The goods must be confiscated. They have spoken against our holy order.’ Terror seized me, and I ran through the house, out of the north door, and found myself in the midst of a company, some of whom I knew, but I dared not speak a word to them for fear of being betrayed. I tried to seek a retired spot where I might weep and pray without meeting eager, inquisitive eyes wherever I turned. I repeated frequently, ‘If I could only understand this! If they will tell me what I have said, or what I have done!’ {7SC7-12: 9.1.1} [491]
“I wept and prayed much as I saw our goods confiscated. I tried to read sympathy or pity for me in the looks of those around me, and marked the countenances of several whom I thought would speak to me and

ofcomfort me if they did not fear that they would be observed by others. I made one attempt to escape from the crowd, but seeing that I was watched, I concealed my intentions. I commenced weeping aloud, and saying, ‘If they would only tell me what I have done, or what I have said!’ My husband, who was sleeping in a bed in the same room, heard me weeping aloud, and awoke me. My pillow was wet with tears, and a sad depression of spirits was upon me.”–Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 578. {7SC7-12: 9.1.2} [491]
“Throughout Christendom, Protestantism was menaced by formidable foes. The first triumphs of the Reformation past, Rome summoned new forces, hoping to accomplish its destruction. At this time the order of the Jesuits was created, the most cruel, unscrupulous, and powerful of all the champions of popery. Cut off from earthly ties and human interests, dead to the claims of natural affection, reason and conscience wholly silenced, they knew no rule, no tie, but that of their order, and no duty but to extend its power. The gospel of Christ had enabled its adherents to meet danger and endure suffering, undismayed by cold, hunger, toil, and poverty, to uphold the banner of truth in face of the rack, the dungeon, and the stake. To combat these forces, Jesuitism inspired its followers with a fanaticism that enabled them to endure like dangers, and to oppose to the power of truth all the weapons of deception. There was no crime too great for them to commit, no deception too base for them to practice, no disguise too difficult for them to assume. Vowed to perpetual poverty and humility, it was their studied aim to secure wealth and power, to be devoted to the overthrow of Protestantism, and the re-establishment of the papal supremacy”. {GC 234.2}
“When appearing as members of their order, they wore a garb of sanctity, visiting prisons and hospitals, ministering to the sick and the poor, professing to have renounced the world, and bearing the
sacred name of Jesus, who went about doing good. But under this blameless exterior the most criminal and deadly purposes were often concealed. It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church. Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of state, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants to act as spies upon their masters. They established colleges for the sons of princes and nobles, and schools for the common people; and the children of Protestant parents were drawn into an observance of popish rites. All the outward pomp and display of the Romish worship was brought to bear to confuse the mind and dazzle and captivate the imagination, and thus the liberty for which the fathers had toiled and bled was betrayed by the sons. The Jesuits rapidly spread themselves over Europe, and wherever they went, there followed a revival of popery”. {GC 235.1}

There are also many foot soldiers, especially from the Dynasty, but let not your heart be troubled. God’s Rod is destined to triumph.
In addition to the name Davidia, a foundational erroneous doctrine was started in the 1961 Symbolic Code found on pages eight and nine:
The Symbolic Code Vol. 1, No. 1, Aug. – Dec. 1961, p. 8, paragraph 5: “Early on in the agenda came the concern as to the location of headquarters. This proved to be the most difficult problem of the Session. Some were of the opinion that it must, in view of one or two statements in the Rod, be the Lord’s will that we somehow gain control of old Mt. Carmel, that we might carry on and finish the work from

ofthere. A study from the Bible and the Rod was presented to us by Brother Bingham, proving conclusively that there are three places of spiritual pasture where God’s people are to feed (see 2SR 243:2). The study went on to show that since the Carmel of the Rod (old Mt. Carmel) is no more, and since Gilead is the Kingdom (see Jer. 51:8 and Jer. 46:11, 12) we are therefore now in the Bashan period and must, accordingly, get our meat in due season from the Rod in BASHAN. (This entire study will be published as soon as possible.)”
Here we see the origin of Mt. Carmel of the Rod is no more, laying the foundation for all those not headquartered on Antitypical Mt. Carmel today.
Another falsehood promulgated in this Symbolic Code is the insidious governmental structure of a vice president without a president. M. J. Bingham was totally against this governmental structure. His purpose for the Session was to institute a constitutional association, which would require a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer, as its four officers. In addition to hoping to be the president, he was also hoping to be the prophet of the day, evidenced by his bringing about the first Session after the 1959 blow and his authorship of the Timely Truth Educator. Brother Bigham successfully acquired both positions after the 100%-Rod-only believers rejected his uninspired Leah and Rachel typology, which the Bashanites deem his inaugural prophetic work.
The name Davidia spread abroad throughout the Davidian world, and it became the unifying title of the divided movement. In 1961, Davidia consisted of Sister Houteff’s Group in Elk, Texas, New Mt. Carmel, and two offshoots: the Branch, who later added Davidian to their title for a more favorable acceptance by Davidians; and the 100%-Rod-only Davidians.
Ben Roden, the leader of the Branch, died, and his wife became the successor prophetess. After her death, about three Branch movements sprung up. David Koresh’s Branch, the most famous of them, brought worldwide reproach to the Davidian Movement. There are now about seven different Branch groups, and Trent Wilde leads the most popular. The infamy of Wilde will be
worse than that of Koresh.
Davidia made another amoeba split when M. J. Bingham split from the 100%-Rod-only Davidians after they rejected his typology of Leah and Rachel, which gave birth to the Bashan offshoot in 1962 under the corporate title Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Association. The Gilead offshoot came out of Bashan offshoot. The Bashan offshoot later spored many independent shoots, of which the most repulsive is the Mustard Seed Advent by its former member Derek West.
In 1970 the amoeba, Davidia, in the persons of the 100%-Rod-only Davidians, relocated to Salem, South Carolina, from Vesta, California, using the Mighty River of Ezekiel Chapter 47 as their support for the move. Four short years later, Davidia split again. Don Adair, a former associate of M. J. Bingham, moved west to Tamassee, South Carolina, and the others went back west to Yucaipa, California. Note that the eastward movement was abandoned by both groups, for they both went west of Salem, where the river initially led them. The land acquired by Brother Don Adair in Tamassee, South Carolina, was declared Mount Carmel and continued to be called the Salem Association. Brother Don was elected as vice-president of Salem, thereby continuing the legacy governmental structure of Sister Florence Houteff. In 1980 after losing most of the young, vibrant members who left and started the now Mt. Dale Association, Brother Don became the permanent vice-president of the Salem/Tamassee Association. Let us remember Brother Don in our prayers; he is now up in age, and the toils of life have slowed him down. It will appear that the Salem group must look for another vice-president or sing the Davidia split song.
In 1980 Mt. Dale became the new addition to Davidia. Meanwhile, back in Yucaipa, the bowels of the amoeba were vibrating for a split, and in 1983 Wanda O’Berry and company split with the Yucaipa group and moved to Calimesa, California, to form the Universal Publishing Association, DSDA, and those left behind merged with Mt. Dale, the first merger in Davidia. This merger was calculated, for Mt. Dale’s printshop was destroyed by arson by SDA operatives, and Yucaipa had an

ofexcellent printing press. This kind of merger will soon be seen again in Davidia, as the prisoners of these false doctrines are set free from their idols when they begin reading statements like this:
“Does not the Denomination’s perverted trend in finding Heaven-revealed Truth prove to you that God is left out of consideration, that in His place are put those who are supposed to be His servants? What else can it be if man is consulted when the Spirit of God should be? Are we not told by the Scriptures that the Spirit Himself is to lead us individually into all Truth? That we are not to make flesh our arm by having someone else decide for us what is Truth and what is error? Are we not denying the Spirit and our connection with Heaven when we take a substitute? And still worse is it to go for advice to one who is already against that which you expect him to approve or disapprove. If God can teach the cattle individually to seek water in the lower lands, not on the top of the mountains and hills, and to search for a place of warmth where the wind does not strike, then why can he not personally show us what is Truth and what is error?” {2TG41: 6.5} [459]
In 1991 the amoeba, Davidia, off-shooted again after Mt. Dale’s Special Session of 1991 voted to relocate the Headquarters to Waco, Texas. What caused the reversal of the 1990 Regular Session’s vote not to relocate to Waco, Texas? The only thing I will say at this time is favorable circumstances. I did not mention the 1988 up-shoot at this time because I will do the up-shoot flowchart later. Here is a visual flowchart of Davidia:
From 1955 to about 2008, the multi-sectarianism of Davidia never fazed the inhabitants, for the name Davidia served as a united illusion. Then came along the upshoot Wave-Sheaf Ministries pointing out the twenty-four sects in Davidia, bringing Davidia closer to the mirage.
What are the dangers of staying in Davidia? First, the false doctrines taught therein; and what might these be? Here are some: 1) That spiritual pastures are the headquarters locations. 2) Carmel withered. 3) Brother Houteff, before his death, instructed to sell all of Antitypical Mount Carmel. 4) The New Codes’ sermons published by Sister Houteff and company are sermons delivered by the late Brother Houteff. 5) Jacob’s time of trouble will take place before the purification of the Church. 6) The Assyrian confederacy is not the church and state confederacy of the “Mark of the Beast.” 7) We are

ofnot in the eleventh hour for the Church. 8) The Davidian Movement is not a church. 9) There is only one section to the first fruits harvest of the living, those who will be translated, thus only one purification in the SDA Denomination. 10) Electing officers by the members’ vote and incorporating. 11) Tormenting the SDA church with Florence Houteff’s methods, distributing literature in front of churches, camp meetings, General Conference sessions, etc. 12) Brother Houteff is antitypical Elijah, David, Joshua, Zerubbabel, etc. 13) The fountain of Zechariah Chapter Three is now open to the House of David. 14) The altered charts of Zechariah Four and Ezekiel Forty-Seven. 15) Keeping of the typical feast days. 16) Only 144,000 will be saved from the SDA Denomination.
Second, you will not be ready when the Bridegroom comes. Third, you will not recognize antitypical Elijah:
“And if any should tell you that a former prophet has fulfilled the promise, although the prophet himself has not said so, then not to know for a certainty that such are not working for the God of Elijah, but for the devil, is Laodiceanism of the worst kind”. {GCS: 23.1}
Since there is a Davidia, then there must be a true name and movement, for where there is a false, there must be a true. Let us hear the Rod:
“To illustrate: Even the personal names of the patriarchs, by which various movements of the past were named, were changed as time went on. Abram, you recall, in the process of time was called Abraham; and Jacob was called Israel. Then, too, the Church of Moses’ time was called Israelite, at Christ’s time it was called Judean, and after that Christian. Finally came the time that it was called either Catholic or Protestant. Then either Lutheran or some other. Each one of these was the offspring of the old. Not those who lag behind, but those who march on with the messages of God, as time goes on, are always recognized by Heaven as the Church. {2TG34: 24.1} [430]
“At the commencement of each message the people that marched on with the Truth were the individual members of the church which had become a church through the acceptance of a message, a message which its founder brought forth. For example, the entire Jewish church did not become a Christian church, but the Christian church drew its members from the Jewish church and brought them to advanced Truth, Truth especially adaptable for the time and the people then. {2TG34: 24.2} [430]
“As we are now living in the time of The Revelation, in the time of the unfolding of the prophecies which point to the setting up of the Kingdom as well as to the second advent of Christ, the Church at this time, therefore, could not logically go by a name other than a name which would befit her present (advanced) phase of the gospel work. {2TG34: 24.3} [430]
“Plainly, then, her name must express the truths she advocates: that is, the keeping of the commandments, the second advent of Christ, and also the restoration of the Davidian Kingdom according to prophecy. Hence the logical name that would represent her work from this time down to the time the Kingdom is set up, is to be Davidian Seventh-day Adventists, — a name that testifies of the Kingdom message, of keeping the commandments of which the seventh-day Sabbath is a part, and of the second advent of Christ. {2TG34: 24.4} [430]
“Now you see that every additional timely Truth brings an additional timely name. Until the Kingdom is set up, the name of God’s Church is “Davidian Seventh-day Adventists”, not “Davidia”.
“If Christ by assembling these seven churches in a group of seven candlesticks and giving the blackest record to the last one, is not calling the Laodiceans Babylon, then neither is the interpretation of the “heads” doing so. It is not because the Laodiceans are better that they are not called Babylon, for their record is worse, but it is to show that on account of their increased light, He is to deal differently with them. It is to prove that if the “angel” (leadership) of the church of the Laodiceans should reject the message of the “True Witness,” He cannot call the 144,000 out from the midst of them into another movement by the call of Revelation 18: “Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues,” (Rev. 18:4), but rather by the message of Revelation 7 and Ezekiel 9. The history of the Vanguard Academy Kenya dates back to July 2013 after the first ten-days seminar ever conducted by Brother Lennox Sam, which took place in Rongai, Kenya. There was realized an urgent need to have a school where Davidian children will be taught in line with the principles of heaven. Sister Beatrice Owitti decided to pioneer the project, and the school started with her daughter, Ellen Gould, as the only pupil. The classroom was a house that had been rented as a base of operations for the newly organized Wave-Sheaf Ministries Association in Kenya.
This blessing Ellen was not to long enjoy alone. Other students, whose parents were also anxious to reap the blessing, joined in shortly afterward, to wit: Philip Elder Daniels, Gilbert Mogoi and Bildad Mogoi. Blessings were flowing, and many were realizing what they and their little lambs were missing these blessings!
With the increase in the number of pupils, there was a need to increase the staff. Sis. Deborah Cheruiyot joined the school as a teacher and Sis. Felister Wambua came in as the pioneer cook. The school was now a boarding facility, and it was growing fast.
Increasing school enrollment by the day and a myriad of other Church activities made the place too small, and a larger base of operations was sought for within the neighborhood. The Lord’s faithfulness provided one around February 2014.
We saw the number of the pupils swell to over fifty in this new place, thanks to the initiative by Church leaders in calling for children of Present Truth believers to be enrolled. We now had eleven staff members: Headteacher:
Sis. Beatrice Owitti; Deputy Headteacher: Bro. Dennis Mutiso; Teachers: Bros. Joshua Cheruiyot, Michael Murunga, Patrick Omogi, Felix Ombasa, Ezekiel Tunya, Sisters Sophiey Tunya, Agnes Mueke, Lydia Odero and Deborah Cheruiyot; and Cooks: Bro. Albanus Wambua and Sis. Lilian Omogi.
As 2015 drew to a close, the Lord blessed Kenya Division with sixteen and one-half acres of land in Ochoria, Muhoroni Subcounty, Kisumu County (shown in the plan above). Temporary structures were quickly put in place to house the school as there was the need for urgent relocation.
The school was then transferred to the newly purchased land where it is situated to date. Many students have graduated from Vanguard Academy with good performance and joined other high schools within the country. We give glory and honor to our God.

Current enrollment is composed of pupils spread across all the nine classes of primary level. Wishing to make the parents’ burden as light as possible, we have set the tuition at thirty-five US dollars a month, including room, board, laundry, meals, and all! Moreover, following the example of the good Samaritan, the institution assumes full responsibility for the expenses of those children whose parents are altogether unable to pay anything toward their children’s upkeep so that every member’s child might have the opportunity of obtaining a Davidian Christian education. This Samaritan purse is also funded by a scholarship fund in which all members can participate.
The school is presently at full capacity of workers and students, and if we could add to our buildings and thus provide housing for a few more students, we would take in more. With enrollment being on an upward trajectory, we are staring at a crisis where pupils may have to be turned back for lack of accommodation. So that this does not happen, we make an appeal for your prayers and bounties, for we will soon
need adequate permanent housing facilities and classrooms to replace the temporary ones in present use.
So far, six permanent pit latrines were constructed last year, and we very soon plan to start construction of a permanent kitchen and a spacious hall with offices to relieve the congested situation and facilitate the work in general.
As we look forward to the immensity of the work waiting to be done, it seems that we are going at a snail’s pace in so far as making the necessary improvements. However, this adds to our courage by the fact that every department of the sealing message has had a very small and slow but steady beginning. Indeed, it is as the mustard seed, but according to the Word, when the improvements are completed, it shall be just as the mustard plant is, the largest of all other herbs.
As the school is yours and has no one but you to look to for support, it is therefore imperative that you get under its financial burden; if the institution itself is to discharge its great responsibility of accomplishing the divinely appointed work of gathering in and educating your children. You dare not fail in this and thereby let the enemy of God and man triumph. And we have every confidence that you are not going to allow this to happen, for the 144,000 are to “make a covenant with Him by sacrifice.” As a school, we are endeavoring, Brother and Sister, to save the children. Will you, against God’s will, have them perish in the “general ruin,” all because of “the selfish love of me and mine?”

ofWe have also been running without electricity since moving to our new location, our source of power being a generator, which is quite costly. Application for connection to the national grid was made in April, the survey by the power company was done in May, and a quotation of approximately $18,545 was given to us in June. It is very costly because we are more than a kilometer away from the nearest connection. As you approach the Father of Lights, remember us, who are in night’s darkness, that He may turn on the electrical lights. Also, remember to pray for our pure water project.
The land is very fertile and in a region where rain is adequate throughout the year. There is only one very short season of about one month wherein rains are not experienced, but during this season irrigation is done from the Kipchorian river which borders the land. It is also known as “the river which never goes dry.”
Several activities have taken place in the farm department, including clearing of bushes, digging of terraces (trenches), preparing the farm for planting, planting different varieties of crops (sweet potatoes, kales, pumpkin, bananas, onions, cucumbers, butternuts, sunflower, pawpaws etc.), harvesting, and storage.
Crops have produced good yields and are helping us have a balanced diet.
We have increased production year after year, and the Lord has marvelously blessed the work. We have an assorted variety of crops, though because of print constraints we are not able to show every detail in these pictures.
Our first trial with tomatoes was done this year and it appears to be very successful. The produce will help boost the mercantile department because camp dwellers cannot use all the harvest. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

A PERSONAL TESTIMONY
Christian Greetings!
The Shepherd’s Rod message began sounding here in the late 1970s. I learnt from Bro. Charles Oyando, the Brother who introduced me to the Rod, that he started reading SRod literature in 1983. He was an employee of the SDA church at the then Western Kenya Field headquarters in Eldoret. It is here, in the church’s office, that he got the Rod message through two pamphlets published by Yucaipa Association. One of them was entitled “The Judgment of the Living, How and When?” How these booklets got in the church office; he does not know to date.
It was by reading the abovementioned booklet that his eyes were opened to the Truth about the judgment of the living. He was very much interested that he took the address on the back cover and corresponded with the publishers. He stayed in touch with them until 1985/1986, when they sent him a new address and referred him to the Mountain Dale Association. He received boxes of literature and also had general communications with them.
In 1995, I found some books gathering dust in my elder Brother’s house. I picked up one of them and started to read; little did I know that I was reading Rod literature. These books gave me an interest to study the Bible and Sis. White’s writings. One thing was clear in my mind: These were no ordinary books; they were so enlightening and met my immediate and long-term spiritual needs.
Sometime later that same year, Bro. Charles Oyando invited me for a Bible study in the house where he was staying with Bro. Elijah Natili, who was also a Rod believer. We were all employees at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton; an SDA institution of higher learning. We studied “The Beasts” of Dan. 7 and Bro. Oyando pointed out the erroneous teachings promulgated by the church and prophecy teachers in general: that the wings represent speed and the ribs represent the kingdoms that were not conquered by the
Medes. The following day we studied Rev. 7 and he again pointed out the erroneous teachings of the church in reference to this chapter: that the number 144,000 is symbolic.
After this study he gave me a Symbolic Code entitled “The List of Abominations to Sigh and Cry For,” published by 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive. He later gave me some Rod tracts after being convinced that I had no objection to what he had presented so far. We continued studying, and he finally made it plain that the literature we were reading was the Rod message prophesied in Micah 6:9. When I read the verse, my interest in the message was doubled, and I asked for more literature; he shared whatever he had. This did not resonate well with my elder brother, and I started reading the Rod secretly until the time when he lost his job in 1996 under mysterious circumstances. He left the institution, and I was forced to look for my own house; this afforded me the opportunity to read the Rod without prying eyes.
February 27, 1997: A Brother called Errol Stanford arrived in Kenya and came to Baraton University in March. Bro. Oyando had moved outside the institution and was able to house him. All studies were carried out from this house. As numbers began increasing, the enemy was enraged and engaged his agents to spy on us. They wanted to know who this American man was, what he was up to, and who were attending the meetings. It then dawned on the institution’s administration that Bro. Oyando was housing a Davidian teacher from the USA, and that some church members were faithfully attending the meetings. We were summoned before our church pastor, the university chaplain, and our immediate supervisors in our respective departments in a campaign to warn, discourage, and instill in us the fear of losing our jobs should we continue attending the meetings. Some brethren backed off and besides Bros. Oyando and Natili, only four of us remained. Of the four, my Brother Franklin Webuye and one Bro. Peter have since lost interest in the message; my cousin, Bro.

ofLeonard Kochwa, who had just converted to the Adventist faith, is now a minister in Mountain Dale.
Within two weeks, the whole institution felt the power of the Rod, and church leaders quickly devised a scheme to thwart the Rod’s activities. Every Sabbath was deemed an opportunity to stage tirades against the Rod and its sympathizers. They desperately shared David Koresh’s story and videos of the inferno at Elk, Texas, but our courage rose with each passing day. The whole university was stirred and awakened – some were for the message and some were against it.
I remember that three Sabbaths were dedicated to exposing the “false teachings” of the Davidians. In the afternoons, the amphitheater was packed to the full like never before. As a consolidated effort to thwart and diminish Rod activities, all theology teachers and students were required to attend; plus those of the faculty deemed to be experienced in the faith. On the first Sabbath, they took to the stage first, and a brother from Ethiopia attempted to refute the teachings of the Rod in vain: it was only a waste of time and a show for nothing.
When our turn came to present, the whole congregation was a stir in less than 6 minutes. Everybody wanted to speak something against Bro. Stanford and the Davidian movement. His chance was interrupted so much so that nothing substantial was covered. The enemy marshaled all his forces against “Present Truth.” There were shouts from within to have him and his followers ejected and barred from attending church services. I can recall one ugly scene where a senior lecturer ran down towards Bro. Natili, who was taking pictures, grabbed the camera from him and removed the film tape. It was evident that Satan was in full control of the congregation.
Bro. Stanford feared that we would run away given that we were still young in the message and in our early youth, but the Spirit of the Lord was upon us, and our courage arose with what the situation demanded. Our Brother was strengthened, but orders from above dictated that he should not be allowed entrance into the university and never pass through its gates again. The next day, Sunday, we received letters from
the university chaplain summoning us to his office, where a stern warning was issued against anyone attending Davidian meetings. His parting shot was: “Desist from attending those meetings or else risk dismissal from employment.” It was the same story at my workstation on Monday; my boss summarized the whole matter thus: “Amatete, we cannot be feeding you with bread while you are throwing stones at us; go and think twice over this Davidian matter.”
Bros. Oyando and Natili had prevailed upon Mountain Dale to buy a piece of land and set up headquarters (a camp) for activities in Kenya. They made this a condition for Mountain Dale operations in the country. Bro. Stanford had left America with one object in view: conduct a DLI for three months and then return. Mountain Dale had neither plans nor budget for such an establishment then, but Inspiration was dictating things in Its Own Wisdom, and the time had come for God to establish Rod activities in Kenya. A piece of land was purchased in April 1997. Bro. Stanford broke the good news to us and asked us to pray and prepare to leave Baraton University in pursuit of the advancement of the Lord’s cause. We gladly took up the challenge – it was the only way God would be pleased – because all indications were clear that our faithfulness to the message would warrant our dismissal.
On Thursday, early in the morning, we left Baraton for Chimoi where the land had been purchased. There was no structure on the land, and there were only shrubs and a handful of indigenous trees. We temporarily stayed at Bro. Natili’s home which was neighboring the land and worked on our Camp from this home for about two months, clearing the land and putting up simple structures to start us out. We then received letters from the church informing us that we had been censored and excommunicated.
I can tell from experience that pioneering in the Lord’s cause is not an easy thing especially when you have to start from scratch with almost no funds. We lived by faith, and God was with us. We had three structures in place: the chapel, which had a temporal kitchen space and two bedrooms; the dormitory; and one structure that was to act as a kitchen/store in the near future, and also

ofsimple washrooms. Thus the Camp was set and happily named Mt. Carmel Center, Kenya Branch. The remainder of the DLI classes were done from thence and came to a close in June.
Shortly before Bro. Stanford left for the USA, we had a Board of Trustees with a fully organized group in place, and the four of us, the pioneers, were Bible Workers. We continued sharing the Rod in the SDA churches around and beyond the Camp. SDA ministers and church members could feel the “heat” of the message given that we had just concluded our DLI classes, so we were “red hot,” so to speak.
Word went around that “an offshoot group had established itself and that they had been chased from Baraton University after mounting a rebellion against the church and the institution; so beware of them.” We continued the “siege,” the Lord prospered our feeble efforts, and we grew in numbers in different parts of the country.
LOCATION TRUTH
Another defining moment came in the year 1999. So far, we had not heard of the various Davidian movements. One morning Bro. Natili came with a purposive thought and asked Bro. Kochwa and I whether we were aware that there were two Headquarters in the Davidian movement—and possibly others—and that one is opposed to the other in doctrine: especially about the true headquarters location, and whether the cleansing fountain of Zech. 13 was open or not.
The following morning, he came with Waco and Mountain Dale pamphlets touching on these two doctrinal issues. He made it clear to us that these two Associations were fighting over these issues and that calls for unity had failed. I began scheming through the documents bit by bit. In my casual perusal, it was evident that Waco brethren were right based on the written Word, and that Mountain Dale brethren fell short and employed a lot of sophistry to have their theories stand. They seemed so good in explaining away, diminishing and enlarging upon the most authoritative statements in the Rod, and in employing Spirit of Prophecy statements that seemed plausible to back up their theories. I did not finish my perusal until at a later date when things took a different direction.
It so happened that in that same year, Bros. Arthur Anthony Hibbert and Terry Harrison of Mountain Dale were on a mission to visit and encourage their members in the African Field. It so happened that Bro. Norman Archer of Waco was also on a mission to reach their members in the African Field, calling for unity in “Davidia.” Behind the scenes, Bros. Oyando and Natili had written to Bro. Archer inviting him to visit us in Kenya. To Bro. Archer, this was nothing short of “good news” given that he was fully aware that Mountain Dale already had an establishment in the country. It presented him with the opportunity to proselytize Mountain Dale brethren.
Bro. Archer arrived in the country from Zambia and Bros. Natili and Webuye picked him from the Airport; they headed straight for the Camp. Upon arrival, he was so excited, and the first words that proceeded out of his mouth were a call for unity in “Davidia,” especially between Mountain Dale and Waco. He then touched on the two issues of contention: location and the fountain. We heard him and began to see some light and got convinced. All these things were happening while Bros. Hibbert and Terry were in Zambia.
Based on our “temporal” conviction, word reached Mountain Dale that Bro. Archer had invaded their Camp and converted all members and brethren to his teachings. Bro. Hibbert wrote us with the assurance that they would come to take care of the matter. Meanwhile, Bro. Archer left for Zambia, knowing that Kenya was their newfound territory.
Bros. Hibbert and Terry finally arrived from Zambia and, without any time-wasting, called for a meeting with all the brethren. Bro. Hibbert “took care” of the matter as he had promised. A call was then made, and we all shifted back to Mountain Dale. Again, word reached Bro. Archer, who had already returned to America, that the Kenyan brethren had been wooed back to Mountain Dale. To this new development, Bro. Archer apologized for not having gone into details when he was at the Camp because he was convinced that all was well, but he promised to send all materials treating on these two issues.

ofthe drawing board, carefully reading everything on this matter. Upon realizing that Waco had sent materials, Mountain Dale immediately sent theirs’ also. The open pulling between these two Associations was well marked, and it was evident that it had an impact on the brethren. The four pioneers residing at the Camp were all convinced that Waco had a score on these issues based on what was written in the Rod and that Mountain Dale had nil, but some were confronted with what would happen to them as Bible Workers, given that there were no prospects of Waco hiring anyone.
But the time had come for God to make another move with those who were willing and ready to advance in the ladder of Truth regardless of consequences. I did not hesitate and declared my stand before my fellow pioneers that Waco was the place to be according to a “thus saith the Lord.” I went ahead and shared my convictions with our converts, and they seemed to grasp what was unfolding before them. It now became necessary for us to call a general meeting for all members to revisit this matter.
Bro. Natili and I were the main movers of the presentations. He presented first, and I presented last; then a call was made, and brethren took their stands on the matter. The brethren overwhelmingly sided with Waco. Mountain Dale had only four sympathizers, and of these, three were pioneers who were convicted of the Truth deep in their hearts. Still, the immediate issue confronting them was their present employment, given that Waco was offering nothing. In brief, Mountain Dale lost all.
With this marked division, the Camp was becoming unbearable for me. It was evident that I had to start preparing to leave as soon as possible. All manner of letters were written to Mountain Dale HQ accusing me of convincing the brethren to move to Waco. I can recall one cheap accusation of being bribed with $100 by Bro. Archer. This was a lie. Bro. Archer is still alive and he can bear witness to the matter.
Bro. Stanford wrote letters pleading with me to recant and work to stop Waco activities in Kenya. The letters were of a character to incriminate and make me feel guilty. I maintained that all I
did was only present, and all were called upon to take their own stands. This did not convince him. I then wrote to Waco about the latest developments, and they took action thereafter.
Bro. Maswabi Samutumwa, a Waco minister from Zambia Division, was called upon to travel to Kenya and organize us. He arrived in the country in December and later went to the Camp. We planned for another meeting, and all brethren were asked to attend. A presentation was done by the minister with additional aspects touching on Davidian history. Like the first meeting, all took their stand with Waco except the four brethren. After this meeting it was now necessary for us to be organized as a Waco group. The minister presided over an election and installation of a new Board of Trustees.
I had planned to move out of the Camp to the nearby town of Webuye by January 1, 2000, for a likelihood of any means of livelihood and to continue in the Master’s cause – little did I know that Waco HQ was resolving to hire me as a Bible Worker from the very same date with their Headquarters in Nairobi! Later, the Board of Trustees convened a board meeting and voted to have Bro. David Wamalwa (now a 2500 Waco minister) join me in Nairobi as a Bible Worker. The work prospered in Nairobi and its environs, Eastern and Naivasha areas, and the Western part of Kenya from whence it all started – and the work has continued to grow since then.
WAVESHEAF 2013/2014
2013 marked a new chapter again for the Rod’s activities in Kenya. Both 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive and Mountain Dale Associations lost the majority of their members to the then “Wavesheaf Ministries” and now “The Davidian Seventh-day Adventists Association” when Inspiration unrolled the scroll by revealing the Truth of the purification of the church in two sections, as pointed out in “the law and the testimonies.” A new Association was born, and I am now a part of it. The brethren at 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive tried to woo me back, but I was unreachable – the Truth had placed me on a different platform indeed; I pray that I shall not fall out of the way.
This is the history of the Davidian Movement in Kenya from 1983 to 2013 as far as I can remember.

ofI am the only one of the pioneers in God’s Association today, and my prayer is that God will guide my fellows into all Truth that we may be one again as it was in the beginning. Bro Natili had since deserted the message, but I met and spoke with him in 2014; he had no problem with what I presented but had no interest in Rod activities. Bro. Weslay Mochama and I met Bro. Oyando in 2014 but it seemed that it was not his time to grasp the message in its advanced form; I met him this year in February, and he seemed receptive and prepared to receive it now.
For lack of space and time, I have submitted only the high points in summary. May the good Lord bless and prosper the pure Rod’s activities around the globe.

Greetings in Christ Jesus, My Brothers and Sisters of the 11th-hour Church,
I thank God for the message of The Shepherd’s Rod which I received through a Sister from the United States in 2006. I was so happy with the way she presented the study of Zechariah Chapter 4, “The Golden Bowl,” which surprised me because I was previously a Pentecostal and did not know these prophecies. This led me to research the books of Sis. White and since then I have been inspired to read Spirit of Prophecy books such as a The Great Controversy and Messages to Young People.
Since we didn’t have today’s technology back then, we would have to wait for the teachers to give us photocopies after each presentation to reread; this displeased me since I didn’t have the presentations in hand to be able to follow the subject. This was very discouraging. I left the country to go to Chile and was married to a Davidian Brother. As we knew other Davidian families, we went over the same basic studies until we met another Davidian Sister from Martinique.
We started the study of the 2300 days until we arrived at the waving of the sheaf; at that point, I received a lot of encouragement to study The Shepherd’s Rod. I have now read up to Timely Greetings, Volume 1. I give thanks to God for all the knowledge that I have gained through personal reading. With the dawning of this experience, I was better able to understand the message and shape my life.
May the Lord help me to finish the reading, be completely reformed, and to be a co-worker with Him in this message.

Peace be unto you Brethren in the precious name of our Savior Jesus,
I was seeking for Truth and God heard me. It
was that point in my life when I felt like I was in deepest oblivion, feeling that none of my prayers could be heard. I was crying and praying one day in the morning, entreating the Lord to forgive my sins and wash me. I was pleading for His love, His mercy, and His pardon. I asked Him to send someone my way to bring me some light in His Name.
The next Sabbath I met a sister whom I had not seen for over two years. She had not planned to go to Church that day, but she was near and decided to attend. I told her that I knew her, but she was looking at me, trying to recognize my face. After Church service, she invited me to dinner.
Her husband had the Truth, but for some reasons he had never before shared even a word with me. I was so excited and told them about my prayer and how I had found them after such a long time! I told him how I was seeing the Church and how I felt (that I was in need of something else). He asked me if I was interested in studying prophecies and afterward introduced me to The Shepherd’s Rod – and praise the LORD! From the very first day, I knew It to be the Truth; and I’ve decided to study and make It my life’s Pillar.
Brethren, since I knew the Truth, I have had happiness in my life even in moments of trouble. I have a smile on my face that no one can wipe away. Things are not easy in my life; maybe they are even at their worst: but I see every difficult moment as a blessing from GOD in disguise.
I decided to change my whole life, and my Father gave me that peace which I was looking for. God cured me physically and touched me spiritually. He chose me, and I know that I am His daughter.
I’ve come a long way, and I still have a long way to go. Praise the LORD for The Shepherd’s Rod! Praise Him for the beautiful privilege He has given us! Brethren, help us in your prayers because we are just a little group and we have to do God’s work.

Greetings in Christ Jesus, my Brothers and Sisters,
I received the Seventh-day Adventist message in 2014 and was baptized that same year. I persevered for a long time because there was a lot that took away from my spirituality – but I did not know what – such as my ignorance of Sis. White’s Spirit of Prophecy books, which teach a lot about Church life, but were not taught in the Church.
At the beginning of the year 2020, God directed me to Brother Jean Edvard Louis’ place. He gave me a general introduction and afterward continued studying with me. He introduced me to the writings of Sis. Ellen G. White and explained some very important things such as health and dress reform etc. He then introduced me to The Shepherd’s Rod literature and asked me to read all of It. As I read, I saw that it is possible to read and finish It. I may not like to read a lot, but I started to read the Rod and saw that it was very interesting, and I kept reading to finish the books.
This message has changed my life, and I am now a member of the Eleventh-hour Church: all glory to our God!

As an Adventist, I have often wondered how I could be ready to be taken up to heaven in an instant – in the blink of an eye – without preparation. Indeed, the Bible teaches that one must be blameless to see the face of God. I was aware that the Church in its present condition could not prepare me for such an important event. My soul was thirsty for something that I could not find in the Church. I attended all the services, but the sermons were getting blander and blander.
Consequently, I chose to accept studies with groups that were studying additional Truth from the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. I enjoy reading and listening to what others say. John tells us, “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all Truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things
to come.”
Other passages have sustained my faith, including this one: “…if a message comes that you do not understand, take pains that you may hear the reasons the messenger may give…for your position will not be shaken by coming in contact with error…. No one of those who imagine that they know it all is too old or too intelligent to learn from the humblest of the messengers of the living God.” — Testimonies On Sabbath School Work, pp. 60-66. Thus, I continued to study this Truth.
A Sister from Guadeloupe shared with me the Truth about the “Wave Sheaf,” and since that day I have been studying and accepting the message of the Rod in all its purity. This message quenched my thirst, and since then, I have made the Word of God my delight.
Recently, I passed through the waters of re-baptism, and the Lord strengthened my faith because I bought “gold tried in the fire.” By His grace, I obey, live, and share this Truth around me, and I hope that all my family members will also accept It. I truly thank and bless my Adorable Lord and Savior Jesus for bringing me to His wonderful light.

Since the time when I was born again, Christ has literally been my best Friend, my Life, and my Everything. Being exceedingly zealous to serve the Lord in various ways, I joined two different choirs in the Laodicean church. Unfortunately, my choir trainers realized that I wasn’t a gifted singer. I began to prayerfully train my voice, but it didn’t work out as fast as I thought it would, and one day our trainer lost patience and shouted at me during rehearsals because my voice wasn’t improving. I shed tears because I had done my best to improve.
Later on, the Lord brought me in contact with The Shepherd’s Rod message, and I accepted it

ofby His grace. During this period, I faced several financial challenges but providentially got a job offer in a Kenyan town called Eldoret. I traveled there, but the offer didn’t materialize as expected. Fortunately, I got an affordable mud house in that town and though it had very poor ventilation, I was grateful to have a roof over my head.
One day, in that mud house, as I was meditating about the soon-coming Kingdom life, I got two stanzas of my first song. I shared it with the Eldoret brethren, and they were blessed. The following night I dreamt that I was singing that same song, but amazingly, with a chorus that I had never heard before. I woke up and quickly wrote that chorus. This is how the Lord revealed to me that I have the gift of writing songs and even singing them. I have about 50 Present Truth songs today which God helped me to write based on different life experiences. He has also blessed me with the gift of poetry which came as the result of a certain trial that I underwent.
A pen cannot write all that the Lord has done for me. I can only say: “Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch; like me! I once was lost, but now am found, was blind but now I see.” Glory, honour, adoration and praises to our loving King Jesus.

I received The Shepherd’s Rod message between 2002 and 2003 and became a member of 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive after one of my brothers presented Mathew 20 and pointed out that there was another call for laborers after 1844. It was very wonderful and interesting because I always thought that S.D.A.s were the last group of laborers.
About ten years later, another 2500 Mt. Carmel Dr. brother accompanied by a brother and sister visited and invited me to a study after a Laodicean church service to discuss some light they had concerning Present Truth. We decided to have it at another Davidian friend’s house. This time the study topic was “The Harvest.” We opened our hearts to hear and receive what the brother presented, and it was joy and happiness in my heart as I could clearly see that what he was presenting was supported by the written Word, especially Tract No. 3, which for sure I had no better understanding of heretofore.
We asked questions, and he was able to answer them with the help of the Lord. He also took us to “The Harvest” chart and showed us “The Day of Reckoning, Mathew 25:19,” and explained the verse in connection with the chart. This evidence was enough to convince us of the judgment in the Davidian S.D.A. Association before the one in the Mother church. After parting, we continued to read and study the message through some DVDs, which we were later given.
In 2013, we received information that the author of the DVDs was planning to visit Kenya and that all members were invited to attend the gathering, which was to take place outside Nairobi in Rongai area. We had ample time studying the message with Bro. Sam for ten days. The Truth was presented in a very clear and distinct manner. I felt the power of the Holy Spirit convicting us that we were hearing God’s Truth: The Shepherd’s Rod in its purity. Many questions were answered, which heretofore had only been a mystery. The fires of a great revival and reformation were rekindled.
In 2014, we had another one-month seminar whereby Bro. Sam led the congregation in

ofsharing the bread of heaven. This time around a very large number attended, and the camp was lightened with light as it shone from the Word of God. I rejoiced because my whole family attended the seminar and partook of the wonderful truths coming directly from the throne of mercy.
After the seminar, we attended our local Kinoo S.D.A. Church, and after some time, I received a letter from the church leadership, which summoned me to appear before the church board to answer some charges. Though the letter was addressed to me, I suspected that my brethren had also received theirs’ for there were about five of us accused of causing confusion in the church through leading out in reforms.
The day came, and we saw the hand of God in the way events took place. The pastor, standing on a ballast-filled ground outside the church, decided to give us some instructions before we entered the meeting chamber. He intentionally told us to pray while on that rocky ground and we perceived this to be a test of whether we would kneel down on such a rough surface. To his surprise, he saw us kneel down, and he was so confused that he was unable to offer the petition conscientiously.
After the prayer, he issued some instructions using the S.D.A. Church Manual and warned us that we should not speak anything or ask any questions. This procedure was to be followed even while in the “Case Room,” as they termed it. A board of about 30 members was present as the pastor presided over the case. He took about two hours reading against, lecturing, and issuing stern warnings to us. He and the first elder were very bitter. After finishing their evil work, the pastor offered prayers cursing us to die so that we may not disturb His people.
The accusations put forth were: 1) Failing to greet others in the sanctuary even after being asked to do so; 2) Kneeling down for congregational prayers while others were not; 3) Not placing orders for Sabbath School Quarterly Lessons when others were doing so; and 4) Not giving tithes in the church.
The district pastor ordered us not to come to that church if we wanted to have peace with him, or else he would place guards to watch and
stop us at the gate. This was the last day I saw that pastor, for he received a transfer, and the other elder who was very angry with us fell sick together with his wife and passed away after a few months.
Currently, the Truth is spreading from one place to another in the Division, and by God’s grace, we have had many newly established areas and members who are rejoicing in the Truth. The Lord has done wonderfully, and I have every reason to give glory to His holy and mighty Name. May He help us to stand for Him in these late hours of probationary time.

I thank God for leading me to this point today. The message of The Shepherd’s Rod is becoming clearer and clearer to my understanding. When I began to read and study the writings of The Shepherd’s Rod, it seemed to me that I would never be able to understand what seemed very clear to others. I implored the Lord for the Holy Spirit’s help in understanding His plan contained in this inspired message. Of course, God, having promised to lead us into all Truth through the Holy Spirit, is faithful to His promises: He never leaves or forsakes anyone who humbly raises His voice to Him and acknowledges his or her dependence on Him. The Lord is Holy, and His Word is Holy. “Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” {SR2 :14.2}
The Shepherd’s Rod is an inexhaustible source of Truth! Thank God I still have much more to learn and understand. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and direct me and every one of us as we read, study, and put into practice the counsels of the Faithful and True Witness.

What I Learned in The 11th Hour Church, Bro. Lloyd van Niel,
I thank the Lord for being a part of the Eleventh-Hour Church. Hitherto I had been a Mountaindale Davidian who did not know the Rod message in its totality because I did not read the

ofSymbolic Codes. Every time I read the Codes, they were a mystery which I did not wish to deal with since they were not strongly advocated for by my teachers in Mountaindale.
It is by coming in contact with the online Presentations through my dear fellow Brother Iwan Kortram that I learned the Truth behind the Codes and many more vital Truths in the Rod which have made It clearer and still more wonderful to me. I rejoice now in reading the pure Symbolic Codes because they stir up my spirit to reform and conform my life to the requirements of God’s present Truth for this time. Each day I learn to know Jesus my Savior better than before, and what He wants me to be like in order to be a part of His soon coming Kingdom.
I thank the Lord that I learned in this Church not to follow men but to really study the Rod for myself! I did not even know what it meant to really study The Shepherd’s Rod message: this, also, I learned how to in the Eleventh-Hour Church.

How “The Day of Reckoning” Message Came With Power to Me, Bro. Ibrahim Sekabira,
I want to thank God for the Truth of The Day of Reckoning, which I received through a number of DVDs sent from Zambia by Bro. Fidelis Mutale. The message came with power. As I was listening to the videos day and night through the course of the week, I saw God’s working hand answering all the questions which I was having since my conversion into the Davidian movement. Most of the history was unknown to me and I was indeed deceived by men’s doctrines, believing them to be truths. I had been taught that Bro. Houteff died a sudden death; that Mountain Dale moved from Waco 2500; that the new codes were part of the Rod; and that there were only 144,000 saints to be saved in the first fruits harvest. All these issues were addressed and I was overjoyed.
I cannot forget that season of studying because, even whenever I went out of the house for some relief, I could hear the voice of the presenter preaching in my ears! It is a hard-to-explain experience, but it was real. This message has changed my life and my entire family. Though we are still struggling with some weaknesses in our lives, I am indeed glad that God is leading us to His kingdom through this wonderful message in the hands of His mouthpiece as promised in The Answerer. May the Lord help us to climb the ladder of perfection until that glorious Day comes.

I thank the Lord that I am now a Davidian in Present Truth. Previously, I was a part of “Davidia” under Mt. Dale. We were often violently persecuted by the leaders of our local S.D.A. Church with the intention of causing us to recant the Present Truth: praise God they never triumphed! Some of us were beaten, taken to the police, sometimes put behind bars, or taken to the church board – but the Lord was with us through it all. There was a split while I was in Davidia and this was God’s way of opening my eyes; His ways are not our ways! Almost seven years have passed since I learned about the Day of Reckoning, which I strongly believe, and I give glory to God because He leads His people step by step. Dear Beloved Brethren,
It’s been a great experience for my family and me in Present Truth as we have witnessed first-hand the sweetness of the message. The Rod message has brought a lot of joy and meaning to my life. Now, I am determined more than ever to work for the Lord as He guides me.
Unfortunately, it looks like most of us as Davidians have still not understood the privilege to which we have been called, and sadly, our dear brethren in “Davidia” are fighting the Present Truth with ardent cruelty. A certain teacher from 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive was so devastated after he lost his students to the pure Rod that he pressured one of them to stop studying with us, telling him that we were thieves who wanted to steal him from the right Association; but the student was able to stand his ground because we had laid a strong foundation. He told the teacher that most of the things which they teach are not written in the Rod, but that the other brethren (referring to us) always quote from the Rod.
The teacher went on to further accuse the student of bringing errors to his parents who were young in the truth and commanded him to stop having studies at their house. We really think that command was overstepping his jurisdiction
as a teacher. Nevertheless, the young brother politely responded by saying: “I cannot command my parents to stop investigating the Truth; they are old enough to make their decisions.” The teacher was further reminded that when he was conducting studies at the same home, the mother of the house together with the younger children, had stopped attending studies, but now, praise God, she and the children are again taking part in the studies with great zeal.
The new convert to the pure Rod further elucidated to his former teacher thus: “The reason only the police have guns is so that they can control the people.” This he said to mean that the reason they did not want to give the Rod to the students was because they didn’t want them to read for themselves and discover the errors that are taught; thus they control them in this way. The teacher got angry, and as they always do, began assassinating the characters of Eleventh-Hour church members. This was very encouraging to us, as we saw the Lord gathering an army of youths who are able to stand for the Truth.
Dearly beloved, we ask for prayers for these new students, for Satan is very busy trying to snatch them. May the Lord protect them in the palm of His hands.

Chap. 187 – “Our Reasonable Service”
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom. 12:1.
The apostle entreats his brethren to consecrate their bodies to God. . . . When we pursue a course to lessen mental and physical vigor–in eating, drinking, or in any of our habits–we dishonor God, for we rob Him of the service He claims of us. When we indulge appetite at the expense of health, or when we indulge habits which lessen our vitality and mental vigor, we cannot have a high appreciation of the atonement and a right estimate of eternal things. {HP 193.2}
When our minds are beclouded and partially paralyzed by disease we are easily overcome by the temptations of Satan. Eating of unhealthful food to gratify the appetite has a direct tendency to

All the treasures of the world sink into insignificance when compared to the value of the mental and moral powers. And the healthful action of these faculties is dependent upon the physical health. Then how important that we know how to preserve health, that our duty to God and man may be performed according to His commandments. The laws of God are plain and distinct. No uncertainty beclouds any of them. None of them need ever be misunderstood. Those
who cannot discern them are benumbed by their own wrong habits enfeebling their intellect. {HP 193.4}
God designs to teach us the importance of temperance in all things. As intemperance caused the fall of our first parents from their holy and happy estate, by their transgressing the law of God, so temperance in all things will keep our faculties in as healthy a condition as possible, that no mist or uncertainty may becloud any of them, that intellect may guide to right actions in keeping His law. . . . We must work in harmony with natural laws if we would discern the binding claims of the law of God spoken from Sinai. {HP 193.5}

Questions & Answers
To Incorporate Or Not To Incorporate?
Question No. 1
What is incorporation and why is it not permissible for Davidian Associations to be incorporated?
Answer:
Corporation is the most popular form of business entity in the USA, but it may have been surpassed by the now popular Limited Liability Company (LLC). To operate a business in any of the fifty states in the USA, one must form a business entity and be registered in a state of his choice, and comply with its corporate laws. To justify their incorporation abomination, Davidian leaderships claim that all nonprofit organizations must incorporate and obtain 501(c) tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service; this is falsehood.
Why do they prefer to incorporate? Because the personal assets of the members are protected from any potential lawsuit claims. If an incorporated entity is sued and a judgment is rendered against the corporation, only the corporate assets are subject to the suit; the personal assets of the owners or shareholders are protected if the corporate assets are insufficient to satisfy the judgment. The United States is a very litigious society; everyone is trying to sue everyone else, so this protection is sought by many.
The Lord’s Association is prohibited from being incorporated because it is written:
TN8: 48.2 [SRS: 168]: Time has already demonstrated that the SDA organization is fulfilling the type. Preferring to incorporate, and to elect officers by the people’s vote, they have thereby manifested that they have cared not so much to please God by being “a peculiar people,” as He would have them to be, as they have to please themselves by being as much as possible like the other denominations — just as in Saul’s time the people wanted to be like the nations round about them (1 Sam. 8:5, 7). And although chosen by the people, yet the General Conference officers were nevertheless accepted by God to be the rulers over His people now, as Saul was anciently.

ofJust as he betrayed his trust, however, by disobeying the Word of God as spoken to him by the prophet Samuel, so the present church organization, “the ancient men…before the house,” have, says the prophet to the church today “betrayed their trust.” — Testimonies Vol. 5 p. 211.
The Rod here admonishes us that we are called to be a peculiar people and not like the rest of the world. The Adventist church decided to incorporate and elect officers by the people’s vote because other denominations were doing it. Most Davidian Associations are likewise incorporated, in particular 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive, Waco, Texas, Mountain Dale Association, Salem Association, Bashan Association, et al [More on this].
This question should have been a three-part question, the third part being, why are Davidian Associations electing their officers by the people’s vote? The first three above-mentioned associations, in addition to being incorporated, are also voting their leaders into office. According to the statement in Tract No. 8, both are condemned.
Just as God rejected Saul for disobedience, He has also rejected all of these so-called Associations—particularly 2500 Mt. Carmel Drive, Waco, Texas — after they refused to obey His Word. In 2002 its Session voted to dissolve the corporation. Nineteen years later, they are still incorporated because the idols that speak said, “forget what Session voted, we run this Headquarters,” and the worshipers said “amen.” The main reason the leaders rejected the Session’s decision was because of the incorporation presentation was by Brother Lennox Sam. He did not believe Brother Houteff presented the sermons published by Sister Houteff after the prophet’s death. Hence, the “anyone but Sam” movement began and has broken down the walls of separation between the various Davidian groups. The “anyone but Sam” movement has evolved into the “we must stop Sam” movement. Their biggest struggle is that they cannot find anyone in their midst who will agree to meet with Sam and answer his questions.

Question No. 2:
Inspiration says that “the Lord is not now calling for a new denomination”: What is the difference between a church and a denomination? Are all churches denominations, and are all denominations churches?
Answer:
The meaning of the word “denomination” is:
Denomination:
A religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices.
A class, society or collection of individuals, called by the same name; as a denomination of Christians.
The meaning of the word “church” is:
Church:
1 : a building for public and especially Christian worship
2 : the clergy or officialdom of a religious body
3 often capitalized : a body or organization of religious believers: as

A denomination is the entire body or collection of churches (congregations) called by the same name. Are all denominations churches? Yes. Are all churches denominations? No: Every denomination is a church, but every church is not a denomination. For instance, the Texas S.D.A. church is not a denomination but a church within the S.D.A. denomination. A church is simply a branch of a denomination, and in the English language, they are both referred to as a church.
Our situation is the same as that of ancient Israel. Because of sin, the Kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms, the two-tribe, and the ten-tribe. The ten tribes continued to be called Israel because they were the majority, while the two tribes were called Judah (Jews) because their kings came from the tribe of Judah. We are all in the S.D.A. denomination (Israel), and because of sin (rejection of Truth), the Lord organized the Davidian S.D.A. church within the S.D.A. denomination, as prophesied in the parable of Matthew 20; thus, we are a church within a church.
CHURCH OR ASSOCIATION?
Question No. 3:
Why do you say we are a church when the Leviticus says we are an association?
Answer:
The Leviticus rightly states that we are an association, revealing the type of business entity we are. Most churches operating in the United States of America must operate as some business entity; most choose to operate as a corporation, as we see with the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference. If the questioner had read page eighty-seven of the Leviticus, he would have read the title “Qualifications For Church Members.” I hardly believe that the Leviticus is talking about qualifications for the members of the mother church; therefore, this your first evidence that we are a church within a church, more particularly stated in the Rod as a “Movement within a Movement.”
The Rod is more straightforward on us being a church in Volume Two of The Timely Greetings, Number 34:
“At the commencement of each message the people that marched on with the Truth were the individual members of the Church which had become a church through the acceptance of a message, a message which its founder brought forth. For example, the entire Jewish Church did not become a Christian church, but the Christian Church drew its members from the Jewish Church and brought them to advanced Truth, Truth especially adaptable for the time and the people then. {2TG34: 24.2} [430]
“As we are now living in the time of The Revelation, in the time of the unfolding of the prophecies which point to the setting up of the Kingdom as well as to the second advent of Christ, the Church at this time, therefore, could not logically go by a name other than a name which would befit her present (advanced) phase of the gospel work. {2TG34: 24.3} [430]
“Plainly, then, her name must express the truths she advocates: that is, the keeping of the commandments, the second advent of Christ, and also the restoration of the Davidian Kingdom according to prophecy. Hence the logical name that would represent her work from this time down to the time the Kingdom is set up, is to be Davidian Seventh-day Adventists, — a name that testifies of the Kingdom message, of keeping the commandments of which the seventh-day

If the above reference does not suffice, we call the questioner’s attention to White House Recruiter page thirty-three, in which the Rod is warning of an attempt to deliver a knockout blow to the movement. Said attempt did occur in 1959 when Sister Houteff declared to the General Conference that if her prediction of the slaughter of Ezekiel Chapter Nine did not take place on April 22, 1959, the Rod is false. Note, in this statement, instead of referring to us by our name, the Rod calls us by the number of our Church in the parable of Matthew chapter twenty, let us hear the Rod:
“Everything that can be done against God’s message of today will be done with even a greater vengeance than was manifest against Heaven’s message in the days of Christ’s first advent, for the Devil knows that if he loses now, he loses forever — that he is to have no other chance. Unparalleled, therefore, is the urgency that every eleventh-hour church member now quickly and solidly brace himself against the Enemy’s effort to deliver a knockout blow. We must be alert, too, to realize that the blow is to come from surprisingly unsuspected foes — from professed friends of the gospel, who are no less pious than were priests in Christ’s day. It is, moreover, but to be expected that the Adversary will employ every agency possible to prevent the Lord from disclosing to view His now obscure 144,000 first-fruit servants, who are to go gather in the second fruits (Rev. 7:9). The Enemy will try everything conceivable to confuse, becloud, and cover up the Truth, especially on the subject of the 144,000”. {WHR: 33.2} [498]
IS IT NOW THE 11TH HOUR?
Question No. 4:
Are we now in the 11th hour, or is it after the Church’s purification?
Answer:
To properly understand whether or not we are in the 11th hour, we must first understand two important facts: 1) what is the 11th hour, and 2) that there are two eleventh-hour periods in the parabolical day of probationary time, one for the Church and one for the world. The following statements say that the last hour of the parabolical day or probationary time is the 11th hour:
“So, shortly after it is set up, this federation of church and state will be plunged headlong into oblivion, even as a great “millstone” that is cast into the sea (Rev. 18:21). And the cry of her mourners shall be: “In one hour so great riches is come to nought.” Rev. 17:12; 18:10, 17. This hour which brings the death throes of Babylon, can be none other than that which, according to Jesus’ parable (Matt. 20:11-16), is the last parabolic hour (period) of the day (probationary time); that is, from the eleventh-hour call for laborers (the last message to the world — Mal. 4:5), to the twelfth hour (sunset ancient timepiece), the end of the day — the close of the gospel period (Matt. 24:14), the close of the harvest (Jer. 8:20), the close of probation (Rev. 22:11)”. {TN12: 34.1} [145]
“The last hour, the eleventh–the most momentous in history–is about to strike, when the billions of earth are to hear the gospel’s final plea, and Mercy’s farewell cry to unrepenting sinners. Upon the purity of this final message and the force given to it now in the sealing time of the first fruits, hangs the fate of the Church and the world. If it goes forth in company with pet theories and fanatical ideas (unsound doctrines), with faultfinding, talebearing, reporting, backbiting, and slandering (evil speaking), how can we dare think that it will charm the ear and turn the heart Zionward”? {9SC1-12: 8.2.8} [538]
“Thus far, the fact stands out that this final call comes at the last hour of the parabolical day, just before the gospel work closes. Being the last message of mercy to the world, and also the last call for servants, it must therefore be borne by Elijah the prophet, by him who appears just

ofbefore “the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Mal. 4:5; Matt. 17:11. Accordingly, the servants of the eleventh hour must be called to the work by him during the time he is announcing the day of the Lord, the day in which the Lord takes His fan in His hand (Matt. 3:12; Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 80; Testimonies to Ministers, p. 373), and purges “His floor” — blows away the chaff and burns the tares. Once He puts the wheat into His “barn” (Matt. 13:30), into His Kingdom-church, it ever remains without tares, and hence “a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but…holy and without blemish.” Eph. 5:27. God’s White House indeed! (See Isaiah 52:1, Joel 3:17, and Nahum 1:15.)” {WHR: 29.1} [497]
The following statements say that there are two closings of probationary time:
“It will be noticed that the close of probation for the Church and the one for the world are two different events. The former is a miniature representation of the latter. The Scripture for the preceding one is found in Matthew 25:11, 12; but of the final one we read: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (Rev. 22:11, 12.) At this time those who were like the five foolish virgins, will say, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” (Jer. 8:20.) “And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.” (Amos 8:12.)” {SR2: 186.1} [111]
“The Church seems too well versed as to the time probation closes for the world, but not at all informed that probation for her members closes at the very time they reject a heaven-sent message. Here is shown why the five foolish virgins found the door closed though they had later obtained the oil and gotten to the door: their probation had closed when they failed at the first opportunity to fill their vessels with extra oil, an extra message”. {2TG11: 11.2} [394]
From the statements so far quoted, it is clear as crystal that the eleventh hour for the Church and the eleventh hour for the world are separate and distinct periods of time. With this knowledge in hand, we can correctly understand statements referring to the eleventh hour or pre-eleventh hour in their contextual setting. The following statements tell us when the eleventh hour started for the Church:
“The solemn work that is committed to us compels us to earnestly plead with all who have accepted this precious “present truth” that they be faithful, for the mere acceptance of the theory of the message will not save any of us. We are indeed now in the “eleventh hour” call, and just as the Lord demonstrated to the Jews of old how “Justice and Mercy met together and Righteousness and Peace kissed each other,” so we are soon to see how God is to answer the question raised by the old gospel prophet when he asked:” {2SC2: 2.9} [170]
“No true, loyal Seventh-day Adventist whose eyes are opened to the condition of the church, and who reads these startling statements concerning her sad fate can but weep, yea, even “sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst” of her. If we Present truth believers really believe what we profess, we will actually “Cry aloud, and spare not.” We will hasten to our brethren who are so engrossed with the machinery of the church, and plead earnestly with them to listen to the voice of mercy which is being sounded now in the “eleventh hour call.” {3SC11-12: 11.1.1} [369]
“Are we giving the 11th hour message now or will it not be given until after the fulfillment of Eze. 9? Has the angel that is to lighten the earth with his glory (E.W. 277) already come?” If the questioner will consult the chart on page 224 of Vol. 2 of the SRod, he will observe that the angels of Rev. 7 and 18 are represented as coming at the 11th hour, and as we are in the sealing time, it proves that we are now in the 11th hour. {1SC6: 10.9} [43]

ofFrom these additional references, we can clearly see that we are now in the 11th hour for the Church. We have been in the 11th hour for the Church since the message began sounding in 1929; and said time is about to end, probation for the 11th hour Church is about to close for the Church as a body. But as seen in 2TG11: 11.2, probation for some has already closed. We thank God that it is still open for some, for they were being deceived; we pray these answers will awaken them.
According to WHR: 29.1, quoted above, we see that antitypical Elijah must be in the Church and the servants must be called to work while antitypical Elijah is announcing that the Lord is about to purify the Church, said Elijah could not taste of death for the type demands translation. Note that there are two angels at the 11th hour in the chart of Matthew 20, one representing prototypical Elijah, who brought the message in 1929, and the other the antitypical Elijah. He prepares the way for the Lord’s coming to purify the Church.
LONG-DISTANCE MARRIAGES
Question No. 5:
Is it advisable for married couples to live in different cities due to work or kindred reasons?
Answer:
It is not advisable for husband and wife to live in different cities. If it is a short-term situation which is absolutely necessary for the support of the family, both parties must be in agreement and the time between visits should not be prolonged. You should visit home regularly, and communication must be constant to avoid estrangement. Let it not be a long-term situation.

Safe, Simple Remedies
“In regard to that which we can do for ourselves, there is a point that requires careful, thoughtful consideration. I must become acquainted with myself, I must be a learner always as to how to take care of this building, the body God has given me, that I may preserve it in the very best condition of health. I must eat those things which will be for my very best good physically, and I must take special care to have my clothing such as will conduce to a healthful circulation of the blood. I must not deprive myself of exercise and air. I must get all the sunlight that it is possible for me to obtain. {2SM 296.3}
“I must have wisdom to be a faithful guardian of my body. I should do a very unwise thing to enter a cool room when in a perspiration; I should show myself an unwise steward to allow myself to sit in a draft, and thus expose myself so as to take cold. I should be unwise to sit with cold feet and limbs, and thus drive back the blood from the extremities to the brain or internal organs. I should always protect my feet in damp weather. {2SM 296.4}
“I should eat regularly of the most healthful food which will make the best quality of blood, and I should not work intemperately if it is in my power to avoid doing so.” {2SM 297.1}
“And when I violate the laws, God has established in my being, I am to repent and reform, and place myself in the most favorable condition under the doctors God has provided – pure air, pure water, and the healing precious sunlight. {2SM 297.2}
“Water can be used in many ways to relieve suffering. Draughts of clear, hot water taken before eating (half a quart more or less), will never do any harm, but will rather be productive of good. {2SM 297.3}
“A cup of tea made from catnip herb will quiet the nerves.” {2SM 297.4}
“Hop tea will induce sleep. Hop poultices over the stomach will relieve pain. {2SM 297.5}
“If the eyes are weak, if there is pain in the eyes, or inflammation, soft flannel cloths wet in hot water and salt, will bring relief quickly. {2SM 297.6}
“When the head is congested, if the feet and limbs are put in a bath with a little mustard, relief will be obtained. {2SM 297.7}
“There are many more simple remedies which will do much to restore healthful action to the body. All these simple preparations the Lord expects us to use for ourselves, but man’s extremities are God’s opportunities. If we neglect to do that which is within the reach of nearly every family, and ask the Lord to relieve pain when we are too indolent to make use of these remedies within our power, it is simply presumption…” {2SM 297.8}
This is what our loving caring Father gave us as His children to help us become “men wondered at.” He made sure that there are precious medicinal herbs that grow abundantly worldwide that we can use freely in all kinds of ways.

We covet your prayers towards this blessed project as it will certainly also be an “entering wedge” for reaching many brethren with the present Truth.
“A similar state of affairs existed in the days of Elijah. Church, home, and school “had fallen into decay during the years of Israel’s apostasy,” and thus remained until Elijah came and restored them. His work of re-
establishing the schools of the prophets, “making provision for young men to gain an education that would lead them to magnify the law of God and make it honorable,” was essentially one of making the institution of the school an agency in restoring and uniting church and home, and reconciling parents and children. {3SC3-4: 5.1.2}
Now, in this day of deepest apostasy, when the church, home, and school are in the very death throes of decay, Elijah must again restore as the Scriptures say, “all things.” And, according to type, the restored institution of the schools of the prophets is again to stand as a coordinating influence between church and home, parent and child. {3SC3-4: 5.1.3}
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” (Mal. 4:5, 6.) {3SC3-4: 5.1.4}
Hence the DPPS is a School that will awaken the wise virgins—men wondered at—from slumbering to quickly prepare themselves for the Bridegroom’s soon coming. It
has been a wonderful blessing growing up together to the Righteousness of Christ since the Department’s inception in May 2019, and we have become better Davidian Priests and Princes by discussing Brotherly issues.
Each of us, you know, in our material being naturally pass through three periods: (1) infancy, (2) adolescence, and (3) maturity. Likewise, in our spiritual being, as seen in Timely Greetings, Vol. 2, No. 39, and Tract No. 14, War News Forecast, pp. 31-39, we pass through three such growing periods: (1) Righteousness by Grace, the equivalent of which is spiritual infancy (being born again), (2) Righteousness by Faith, the equivalent of which is adolescence, and (3) the Righteousness of Christ, which in fact is our spiritual maturity. And since the “infancy” period, the righteousness by grace is now in the past according to Timely Greetings, Vol. 2, No. 39, and we have now come to the time of the righteousness by faith period of “adolescence,” in which our safety and eternal interest lie, we must not neglect to attain to full Christian “maturity,” the righteousness of Christ, if we expect to be rewarded with life eternal and with a home in His Kingdom. {CFL: 1.2}

Ottawa, Kansas, May 12, 1889
The enemy is at work with those who have placed themselves in doubt and unbelief; and they are not satisfied only to be there themselves, but all the time they are strengthening others in the same line, and they want others to believe just as they do. From the light God has given me, there never was any new light that came from heaven but that Satan could find something in it to pick at. And so it is with some of the people of today– they will pick at little things. They want the light, but there comes along the enemy just as he did to the men of Nazareth, and although the Spirit of God told them that Jesus was the anointed one and Christ told them what His work was–to break the power of the enemy and let the oppressed go free, to loose the bands of wickedness and to preach the gospel to the poor [see Luke 4:18]–[they remained in doubt and unbelief]. {1SAT 93.1}
But it seems to me that we do not take these things and learn the lessons from them that we should. Now the unbelieving came up and the devil took advantage of it and began to work, and they began to say among themselves, Who is this? Is not this the son of Joseph and Mary? And just the minute this thought came into their minds they began to work it out. And you know how it worked. They arose right up and laid hold of Christ and led Him to the brow of the hill and were going to destroy Him. Now, there has not been any improvement made in human nature since that time. Human nature is human nature still. If there is any little point where they can divert the mind, they make the most of it. You see it in the counsels. It has been presented to me again and again. They [church leaders] are laying plans for the work of God, trying to make arrangements whereby they can advance the work of God, and there stands someone trying to trig [block] the wheels. As I said to one of our brethren not long since, “You have done more to
set back the work of God than ten or twenty of our enemies, because you construe some point into something wonderful, and you have held the committee for hours over nothing, only to throw in a block to trig the wheel, and the time wasted and the good resolutions that should have been carried have been lost. You come in and they think you are a good man, a moral man, and what you say is all right, but every time you have a chunk to throw in, and they are worried out in their counsels and nothing is accomplished which should have been done, on account of this hindrance.” {1SAT 93.2}
Now brethren I want to tell you, when the Spirit of God comes into our midst, it will strike the minds that are ready to receive it. But if their minds are not open to receive it, they are all ready to pass judgment upon the messenger and the words spoken. In the place of coming to God and asking Him to give them a new heart and a new mind, that the transforming influence of the grace of God shall be upon them, they commence to find fault and pick flaws. It doesn’t strike them, and it must harmonize with their ideas and they will stand right there until these things are culled out of the way, and they place themselves right there to judge. This is the way it was at Minneapolis. {1SAT 94.1}
It is because I know the very same spirit is here, and that we should not give place to it for a moment that I say these things. I know that while the Spirit of God will make impressions upon human minds, the enemy will come in and make the most of any little thing that it is possible to make and the leaven will begin to work because the devil wants it so. Now brethren and sisters I want to place you on your guard. I want to ask you if you are satisfied with your coldness, your unbelief, your backslidings. Have you not had enough of it? If not, the devil will give you all you desire. We don’t want any more. {1SAT 95.1}

ofWe see that we are in no better condition than the Jewish people. God gave them the clear light that they might stand as His holy, peculiar people. He had given them the prophets, and then Christ Himself came in order that He might present the truth to them. But when His own nation rejected Him, He turned away. He told them, “Ye have ears, but ye hear not, eyes have ye but ye see not.” (cf. Jeremiah 5:21.) Then they inquired, “Are
we blind also?” Christ said, “If ye were blind no sin would be attached, but it is because light has come and ye choose darkness rather than light.” (See John 9:14) Was it a real darkness? No, it was not. The light of truth had shone upon them, but Satan was throwing his blinder before their eyes, and they received it not. {1SAT 95.2}
Now brethren, there is a blessing here for you. You may think it strange that I speak to you about these things, but it is my duty. We never want this thing acted over again on God’s earth; and if God gives me strength I will do it. I want you to inquire, How is it with my soul? Will you take the light, or will you stand complaining? It is time we should know where we are. We should have a chance to pray and talk and seek God. What we want is the Lord, and we don’t want anything else. But we have it here in these words of Zechariah. Joshua stood before the Lord, and Satan stood there at His right hand to resist him. “The Lord rebuke thee,” He said,”is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?” (Zechariah 3:2). {1SAT 95.3}
Now here are the people of God and God wants
you to be getting ready for the great day of salvation, that you may be getting others ready. He wants you to have a fitting-up, that you may have a message for the people that will cut its way through the fleshy heart, and that you may go crying through the porch and the altar, “Spare they people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach” (Joel 2:17). Now open your ears to the truth you have had and put away your doubts, unbelief, and Christless surmisings. {1SAT 96.1}
God wants you to come and drink of the clear waters of the streams of Lebanon, and when you have drunk yourselves you will want to call others to drink. Convert after convert is presented to me who does not know what it is to have faith in Christ. It seems they are ready to die; there is no light in them; they are dying for the want of God. {1SAT 96.2}
I went to a meeting where I could stay only three days, and in that time I spoke to them seven times. They begged of me to stay longer; they seemed starved, and they would get up and talk of how they wanted this truth and this light, but the devil was ready to bring in something to shut out the light, and many are ready to have it so. They don’t know what the pure atmosphere is, but may the Lord help us that the clear light of His glory may surround us. May God help us to stand on vantage ground before the enemy that we shall have our minds broken off from things below and get hold from above. {1SAT 96.3}
Christ, when talking to the people of His time, told them that they had blinded their eyes and closed their ears lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and be converted and He should save them. (See Matthew 13:15) Light had been given them, but they would not receive it. Darkness was upon them, and they would come and pick the little flaws, and draw the minds of the people away from the solemn truth that was for them. Now, how will it be with us? We don’t want to kill ourselves here laboring for you, but will you labor for yourselves? We want to know whether we will have the rich blessing of the Lord resting upon us, and we realize that He sheds His rich light and glory upon us. This is my prayer. –Manuscript 2, 1889. ofThe Queen Esther Sisters Society (QESS) was formed on February 24, 2019 out of the need to encourage all Sisters to walk in the light of the present Truth so as to become virtuous women and representatives of Christ. A place where sisters can discuss things that pertains only to sisters.
Membership in QESS is available only to cardholding Sisters of the 11th-hour Church. To accommodate and help those Sisters who are affiliated with the Church but who have not as of yet obtained the prerequisite to be members of QESS, the subgroup, Sister for Sisters (SFS) was formed.
QESS/Sisters for Sisters Department has a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and six Committee Members: with the Holy Spirit being the Head of this Society.
The QESS Committee seeks to provide a safe space where the Word of God is studied and meaningful discussions held on any topic. As ideas and perspectives are shared during our sessions, members receive valuable information which if implemented will enhance every aspect of their lives.

In the early 1980’s, Brother Otmar Kortram, a devout Surinamese S.D.A. preacher born in the Advent Truth and living in America for several years, received The Shepherd’s Rod message through a Davidian brother from Mountaindale, New York. After gratefully embracing and zealously sharing the Message in several churches in the U.S.A., he traveled to the Netherlands and continued sharing the Message in S.D.A. churches there. Although many opposed it, some accepted it – including his blood brother, Iwan Kortram.
Bro. Iwan then eagerly started sharing the Rod message in S.D.A. churches in the Netherlands and distributed publications during the General Conference held in Utrecht in 1995 alongside Bro. Antony Hibbert, Bro. Ishmael Rodrigues, Bro. Joseph Serafin, Bro. Terry Harrison, Bro. Jim Kakouri, and Bro. Glenroy Matthews. These brethren were visiting him at the time, and in 1996 he attended DLI at Mountain Dale. There were quite a few brethren who joined Bro. Iwan in studying the Truth, and some were also sharing it even though they met many challenges from opposing leaders in the S.D.A. church.
The great importance of the wonderful Truths contained
in The Shepherd’s Rod stirred the heart of Bro. Iwan and the Lord placed upon him a special burden to translate the Rod publications into Dutch so that all Dutch-speaking brethren could hear and read these all-important Truths in their own language and be saved by accepting and living it. This resulted in The Shepherd’s Rod, Volume 2, being completely translated, and several other publications followed afterward. Dutch translation of SRod literature was completed in 2016, although proofreading is still an ongoing project. We praise and thank the Lord for this accomplishment.
Around December of 1996, Bro. Iwan was approached in an S.D.A. church in Amsterdam by Sis. Helga van Niel. She had been directed to him by his cousin from Suriname, Bro. Ricardo Kortram, who had also received the Rod from Bro. Otmar and had also attended DLI at Mountain Dale. Sis. Helga had received the Truth about the 144,000 by studying with Bro. Ricardo and had moved to the Netherlands with a special burden in her heart to share the
Advent Truth with her family. It was after the passing away of her mother that her family (who were Moravians) became readily open-minded to study with her.
She also wanted to share the Truth about the 144,000 with her family but was not sure she could do it since she had not yet received all the studies and had not read all the literature. Convinced that it was the Truth and that her family needed to hear it, she prayed that someone might be available who knew the Message well and could share it with them. The Lord answered her prayer by meeting Bro. Iwan and Bro Otmar one Sabbath at the Amsterdam South-East S.D.A. church.
Almost the whole family – Sis. Helga’s two daughters (Vanessa and Perla Pahlad); Sis. Selma van Niel and her three children; Sis. Phili van Niel and her three children; Bro. Lloyd van Niel; Sis. Norma Gilliot-van Niel, her husband, Bro. Wilco Gilliot (deceased 2014) and their daughter Gabriella; and father, Elwin van Niel (deceased 2001) – embraced the Truth of the S.D.A. church and The Shepherd’s Rod at the same time after a series of studies with Bro. Iwan. Bro. Lloyd and Sis. Phili also started helping with the translation of the Message to Dutch. Bro. Iwan and Sis. Helga got married in 1998.
Though there were many trials

ofand much opposition from the S.D.A. church leadership, the Kortram van Niel family was zealously sharing the Message with other interested brethren while continuing to study the Message for themselves. In 1998, opposition from church leadership necessitated Bro. Lloyd, Sis. Selma, and Sis. Phili and her two sons: Jahfaar and John, to be baptized by Bro. Anthony Hibbert, a Davidian minister from Mountain Dale, in a Seventh-Day Baptist church rather than by an S.D.A. pastor in an S.D.A. church. In 1999, Bro. Lloyd also attended DLI, followed by Bro. Jahfaar and Sis. Perla in 2000.
Around 2001, Bro. Iwan received a pamphlet from Bro. Don Adair wherein the subject of “The 144,000 and Those with Them” was extensively treated. Bro. Iwan shared and studied this pamphlet with the van Niel-Kortram family and after seeing the Truth, the
family accepted it. In 2002, Bro. Iwan and Bro. Lloyd attended a Session at Mountain Dale where they presented the reasons for their belief in “the 144,000 and those with them.” The brethren did not accept this Truth, and from then on the Kortram-van Niel family and the Mountain Dale brethren parted ways doctrinally, yet in a friendly manner.
This situation continued even after Sis. Phili had married Bro. Ricardo and permanently moved to Suriname in 2008. Later, in 2011, Bro. Lloyd, Bro. Iwan and Sis. Helga also moved permanently to Suriname, followed by Sis. Selma in 2013. The Lord again led Bro. Iwan and Sis. Helga to the presentations of Wave-Sheaf Ministries in 2014-2015, and after persistent requests from Bro. Iwan, Bro. Sam finally agreed and visited the Suriname brethren in 2015.
From then on, the group of
brethren in Suriname and the Netherlands (which included the van Engel/Bouterse/Vreds/Johnson families in Suriname and 3 devout S.D.A. sisters from Rotterdam, Netherlands – all with whom the Kortram-van Niel family had been sharing and studying the Message with) joined the studies of the Eleventh-hour church. We greatly thank the Lord that we have been participating in these studies and in this wonderful work ever since.
We humbly ask for your prayers, that we submit our all to the instructions of the Spirit of Truth, so that we may continue doing our part faithfully and devoutly in the Dutch field to advance the establishment of the Lord’s Kingdom, which is hastening on apace.
